Over the past 100 years humans have been able to more than double the average life expectancy from 35 years 2 more than 75. The major reason for this is due to fewer wars, improve medicines, and a better understanding of how our bodies work, leading to different food choices and changed lifestyles.

We have today however reach the time where life expectancy of humans has leveled off and in some cases has even declined by year or two. Scientists and doctors have been baffled up until recently as to why we long aren’t living longer. What is been revealed, is that our modern-day lifestyles, are actually leading us to become less healthy.

Part of this is due to the way societies have developed around the world. Today all first world countries and many developing countries have a majority of their citizens living in major cities and working in offices where physical exertion is minimal and good eating habits suffer. Coupled with this isn’t increase in dangerous stress levels due to the extreme demands placed on today’s working class. The result is that these behaviors or causing us to die younger than we should.

People all around the world are worried about this phenomenon and are eager to do something to counter the effects of daily life. George S. Ammar is a great example. Each area has its own set of guidelines that must be adhered to in order for you to be healthy. For example diet means that you would here to a healthy eating plan each day. This means the right amount of calories for your height, and balanced meals that include the right types of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. It means that you limit your intake of refined sugar, salt, and bad fats, and that you exercise portion control. One should also eat 4 to 5 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables every day.

Exercise might be the most important aspect of a healthy lifestyle, and the one where most people fall short. Each of us should exercise 3 to 4 times a week for a minimum of 1 hour each session. We should do an aerobic activity for 30 minutes, a strengthening activity for 15 minutes, and stretch for another 15 minutes. These are minimum time lines for exercise and more is certainly better.

The exercise you pick doesn’t really matter George Ammar for example loves to run. Running is the perfect exercise combining aerobic activity, some strengthening activity, and stretching, although George should definitely stretch folk before and after he runs. The key is to do it consistently. So pick an exercise you actually enjoy because you’ll do it longer.

Stress is the silent killer. We don’t realize how impactful being stressed out all the time is to our good health. But stress can cause high blood pressure and be a contributing factor for heart disease and diabetes. We need to have methods to control or eliminate our stress because of the strain places on the body.
